I am teaching EFL (English as a Foreign Language) to Modern Experimental School of Aristotle University - P.P.S.P.TH. both in Junior high school and Upper high school (Lyceum). I follow a learner-centered curriculum and my students get involved actively in teaching learning procedure. My teaching approach focus on innovative teaching practices with the use of ICT and the use of other interdisciplinary areas such as environmental issues, art, music, history, theatre and cinema. My students work in groups to implement projects on topics of their preference. They develop experiential learning skills through cooperation and reflection and they enjoy learning English through games, songs and action. Lyceum students are taught English C2 level and they participate in debate forums such as MUN (Model United Nations for students) and other Youth Forums.
My research areas are English Language Curriculum, CLIL (Content Language Integrated Learning), Needs Analysis, Motivation, Action Research in English language Teaching and Language Teacher Education. I am also a mentor for pre-service students of the English Language & Department, Aristotle University, Thessaloniki, Greece. I am involved in conducting research projects with the cooperation of the English Language Department of Aristotle University, Thessaloniki, Greece.
